EXPEDITION TO THE ALANTIKA MOUNTAINS |

The Alantika
Mountains are located west of Poli and north of the Faro
reserve all in the North province. The region is a mountainous
one with the highest point at 1865 m above sea level. It is
inhabited by the Koma tribe, a primitive people which is a
result of a mixing of pygmy men and Koma women. They have
preserved their culture and traditions unchanged over a
century. Women here use tree leaves to hide their sexual
organs.
