|
The Alantika Mountains are located west of Poli and north of
the Faro reserve all in the North province. The region is a
mountainous one with the highest point at 1865 m above seas
level. It is inhabited by the Koma tribe, a primitive people
which is a result of a mixing of pygmy men and Koma women. They
have preserved their culture and traditions unchanged over a
century. Women here use tree leaves to hide their sexual
organs.
The 5 days expedition to this fascinating region will enable
the visitor to learn more of how these people live. Villages
visited are Fygnole, Wangaï, librou, bimlerou Bas, Nabamalo,
bimlerou Haut, Dini, Ouip , Singli, etc.
The nights are spent in tents erected in the local chief’s
palaces in the mountains. Treks are scheduled everyday between
5 and 6 hours with the help of local guides and porters hired
from the villages visited.
Price : Depends on the number of participants. A detailed
itinerary will be provided when arrival and departure dates are
communicated to us.
